06-12 From Rock Springs to Jackson Hole.

We had an easy drive up to Jackson Hole today past the Wind River Range and up the Hoback Valley. We couldn’t reach our original destination of Moran on the east side of the Tetons due to last night’s snowfall. It should be clear by Saturday so we’ll check out the southern part of the park until then.
This part of the country is much prettier than I had figured and I’m not sure how to deal with that. :^) As for the city of Jackson, it’s like a Gatlinburg for the Sushi and Après-ski set. If that sounds harsh, remember that suntanned Gerry Spence, the silver-haired attorney of fringed leather jacket and TV fame, has his office on the main drag.

Beautiful photo. I love the snow on the mountains.

Jackson is a bit touristy but I do love the visitors' center. Have you visited that little church with the glorious view yet?
