06-16 Hoback Canyon and Signal Mountain

Today drove south through the Hoback Canyon which is just as pretty as the park. Green valley walls dotted with clusters of Rocky Mountain sunflowers angle down to the river. Spring runoff has filled all the rivers here and some are out of their banks. In a broad meadow I finally found a male prong horn close enough to photograph.

Back in the park a drive up Signal Mountain led us to a fine view of Jackson Lake to the west and the pothole area looking east. A drive along the shore of Jackson Lake made for a fine panoramic view of this beautiful spot with a back drop of the Teton Range.
